February Rep of the Month

STATE COLLEGE, PA – Genesis Acquisitions, promotional marketing and advertising firm, has grown significantly within the first quarter of the year. Dominique Ellis, Director of Operations at Genesis Acquisitions, was asked how he motivated his team to produce such great results. He responded by saying that the culture at his firm is highly supportive of his team members’ growth and achievements within his company.

With that being said, Ellis was ecstatic to announce that Marlene Gladden had been named Representative of the Month for the month of March. According to Gladden, she was thrilled to learn that her hard work was being recognized.

“I joined the company in January and I immediately fell in love with the high energy in the office and the competitive atmosphere,” said Gladden.

The former basketball athlete went on to mention that the goal-driven environment attracted her to the company and she has since learned many tools to help her succeed in the marketing field. According to Gladden, since joining the firm she has learned invaluable skills in marketing, sales, customer-client relations and human resources.

Ellis attributes this to his belief in cross-training his team members within the different aspects of his company in order to help them become well-rounded in the business and marketing field overall.

“It’s easy to train someone to become an employee,” Ellis began. “But it’s much more fulfilling to teach someone how to have a business mindset and how to manage themselves and others. By teaching my team how to conduct tasks outside of their normal roles, they become much more self-managed and valuable to the company and our clients, making growth inevitable.”

When Gladden isn’t working towards her goals at Genesis Acquisitions, you can find her spending time with her fiancé and two daughters and enjoys going to game rooms to fuel her competitive nature. Account to the account manager, she is a self-proclaimed “anti-[New England] Patriots” fan as well!

While Gladden is excited about her acknowledgement, she has much bigger goals to achieve ahead of her. According to Gladden, her biggest goal is to become a national representative on the West Coast, meaning that she would be able to oversee multiple markets and help other clients achieve their goals.

“If Marlene continues at her current pace, there’s no telling what she’ll be able to achieve befor this year is even over,” commented Ellis.
